The diagram to the right shows that most of the log is used for grade lumber. You will find this grade lumber in your kitchen cabinets, fine furniture, hardwood floors, etc. And what remains was once considered waste. Over the years the pallet industry has grown due to manufacturing increases and demands for more shipping materials. Wood pallets are the most environmentally friendly unit load base and the most cost effective way to move product. |
